Huicholes: A People Walking Towards the Light

One of the shows at the Textile Museum was of the fibre art of the Huichikes, a tribe of people from Mexico. Their work is very colourful and symbolic of their Animalistic Religious beliefs. Bright coloured yarns are pressed into a bees wax covered gourde or board. The resulting images are vivid.
